Service · Brand Identity
A visual system, not just a mark
Symbol and wordmark, a colour palette that isn’t a guess, a typography system, and a guidelines document that keeps it all consistent whether we’re involved or not. Designed by our brand designer, fine arts degree, master’s in graphic design.
What the brand identity service is
Brand identity is a one-time, fixed-price service from NS Web Studio, costing €1,200. It covers a symbol and wordmark logo, a defined colour palette with exact values for print and screen, a typography system for headings and body text, and a written brand guidelines document covering usage, spacing and minimum sizing. It’s designed by our brand designer, who holds a fine arts degree and a master’s in graphic design, with three initial concepts and two revision rounds included.
Fit check
This is worth it if…
This sounds like your situation
- You’re launching or genuinely rebranding, not just replacing a tired logo
- You want a symbol that works on its own — on a favicon, a van, a social profile picture, where the full name doesn’t fit
- You want consistency across everything without having to re-decide colours and fonts every time something new gets made
- More than one person, now or eventually, will be touching your marketing materials, and they need something to follow
Choose something else if…
- You just need a clean wordmark, no symbol — that’s €550, not €1,200
- Your current brand is working fine and you just want a website to match it — no need to redesign what isn’t broken
What this isn’t. This is a visual identity system, not a brand strategy or positioning exercise. If you don’t yet know who you’re for or what makes you different, that’s worth working out before commissioning the visuals — a beautiful identity built on an unclear premise still won’t do the job.
The full list
Everything in the €1,200
What you get
Logo
- Symbol and wordmark, designed to work together and independently
- Three concepts, genuinely different directions
- Two revision rounds on the chosen direction
- Every practical lockup: horizontal, stacked, symbol-only
Colour
- Primary and secondary palette, chosen deliberately, not decoratively
- Exact values for print (CMYK) and screen (RGB, hex)
- Contrast-checked pairings so the palette works for accessible text, not just for looking nice
Typography
- Heading and body font pairing recommended and specified
- Guidance on weight and hierarchy so headings, subheads and body text stay consistent
Guidelines
- A written guidelines document (PDF): logo usage, minimum sizing, clear space, what not to do
- Everything a future designer, printer or in-house team member needs to stay on-brand without asking us every time
Files & rights
- Every file format across every element: vector and raster, colour and single-colour
- Full usage rights transferred in writing on final payment
Not included — so nobody is surprised
- Brand strategy or positioning work. This designs the visual system; it doesn’t define who you’re for or why you’re different
- Business cards, stationery, or social media templates. Can be scoped separately once the system exists
- The website itself. See the packages for that
- More than two revision rounds. Additional rounds are quoted before starting
- Trademark registration. A legal process, separate from the design work
If you already have a logo you like and just want the palette, typography and guidelines built around it, say so in the brief — the price adjusts down since the logo design step isn’t needed.
What changes
What a real system does that a logo alone can’t
One decision, made once
Colours and fonts get decided properly, one time, instead of being re-guessed every time something new needs designing.
Consistent without you policing it
The guidelines document means anyone touching your marketing later — a printer, a future hire, a freelancer — has something concrete to follow instead of guessing at “what feels right.”
Trained for exactly this
A fine arts and graphic design background means the palette and typography are chosen with real design reasoning behind them, not picked from a trend board.
How it runs
The eight to twelve days, step by step
-
Days 1–2
Discovery
What the business does, who it’s for, what tone it should carry, what you like and don’t like. This shapes every decision that follows.
-
Days 3–5
Concepts
Three symbol-and-wordmark directions, presented together with an early sense of how each would carry colour and type, so you’re judging a direction, not just a mark.
-
Days 6–8
System build
Once a direction is chosen: the palette finalised with exact values, the typography specified, and the revision rounds applied to the logo itself.
-
Days 9–12
Guidelines and handover
The written guidelines document assembled, every file format exported, and full rights transferred in writing.

What people usually add alongside this
Growth package
€5,400A new identity often means a new site to carry it properly. Bundling both keeps the visual language consistent from day one.
Worth it if: you’re rebranding and rebuilding at the same time.
Extra language
€600If the brand needs to work across more than one language market, this is handled separately once the identity itself is set.
Worth it if: you trade under the same identity in more than one country.
SEO copywriting
€450/pageA new identity deserves words that sound as considered as the visuals do.
Worth it if: the current copy still sounds like the old brand.
Questions
What people ask about brand identity
What’s the actual difference between this and the wordmark-only logo?
The wordmark service is the logo alone: your business name, set well, with no symbol. This adds a symbol that works independently, a full colour palette with exact print and screen values, a typography system, and a written guidelines document. If you’re not sure which you need, describe the business in the brief and I’ll recommend one honestly — there’s no reason to sell you the bigger service if the smaller one does the job.
Do I get a strategy or positioning document too, or just visual assets?
Visual assets. This designs how the brand looks and stays consistent; it doesn’t define your positioning, your target audience or your messaging strategy. If those aren’t settled yet, it’s worth working them out first — even informally — since the discovery conversation for this service works much better when you already know who you’re building the identity for.
Can I use this before the website is built, or does it need to come together?
Either order works. Plenty of clients finish the identity first and bring it to the website project afterwards; others do both together so the visual language is locked in from the first design draft. If you already know a rebuild is coming, doing them together usually saves a small amount of back-and-forth.
What if I already have a logo and just want the system around it?
Mention that in the brief. If the existing logo is solid and just needs a proper palette, typography and guidelines built around it, the price adjusts down since the logo design phase isn’t needed — you’re not paying for work that isn’t happening.
How long does this take?
Eight to twelve working days from when the brief and any reference material are with me. It’s longer than the wordmark-only service because there’s genuinely more being designed and decided — a symbol, a full palette, a typography system and a written document, not just a single mark.
Who owns the final files?
You do, completely, on final payment, in writing. No ongoing licence, no attribution requirement. Everything — the logo, the palette values, the guidelines document — is yours to use, adapt, and hand to anyone else you work with in future.
