Project brief

Tell me what you’re building. I’ll send you a price.

About ten minutes of questions, then a written proposal within one business day: scope, fixed price, real dates. No charge for either, and nothing is owed until you’ve read the scope and said yes.

How the brief works

The project brief is how every NS Web Studio project starts. You fill in a form describing your business, who you’re trying to reach and what the website needs to achieve. Within one business day you receive a written proposal covering the recommended package, a fixed price in euros, dated milestones and exactly what is and isn’t included. There is no charge for the brief or the proposal, no meeting to schedule, and no obligation to proceed. If a cheaper package fits your situation better than the one you picked, the proposal will say so.

The brief

Answer what you can. If you don’t know something yet, say so — “not sure” is a perfectly useful answer and it tells me where to help.

Project Brief

A note on the questions about content. I ask whether your text and photos are ready because it’s the single thing that decides whether a timeline is real. Every delayed project I’ve had was delayed there, not in the build. Answering honestly costs you nothing and protects your launch date.

After you hit send

Three things happen, in this order

01

I read it properly

Including your website if you have one, and your competitors if you named any. That’s usually an hour of work before I reply, which is why the reply is worth reading.

02

You get a written proposal

One page. Recommended package, fixed price, dated milestones, what’s included and what isn’t. Plain English, no annexes, no “starting from”.

03

You decide, whenever

Take a week if you want. If you go quiet I’ll follow up once and then leave you alone. No countdown timers, no expiring discounts.

Still deciding

Not ready to fill this in?

Perfectly reasonable. Here’s where to go instead.

Four packages, four fixed prices, all published. Each one has its own page listing exactly what’s included and, more usefully, what isn’t.

Go here if: you’re still working out what size you need.

Who’s actually building this, what the engineering background changes in practice, and why everything runs in writing rather than on calls.

Go here if: you want to know who you’d be hiring.

One question, one answer, no form. If it can be settled in two emails, let’s settle it in two emails.

Go here if: you have one specific thing you need to know first.

Questions

Before you fill it in

Does sending the brief commit me to anything?

No. The brief is free, the proposal is free, and nothing is owed unless you sign the proposal and pay a deposit. Plenty of people send a brief, read the reply, and decide the timing isn’t right. That’s a normal outcome and I’d rather you reached it before paying than after.

What if I don’t know which package I need?

Pick “not sure” and describe the business instead. Working out the right size is genuinely part of what the proposal is for, and I get it wrong less often when people describe their situation rather than guess at a package. If your answers point to something cheaper than you expected, the proposal will say that.

Can I send you my existing site instead of describing everything?

Yes, and please do. A URL tells me more in five minutes than a paragraph does. I’ll look at the structure, the speed, what’s ranking and what isn’t before I reply. If the honest answer is that your current site needs fixing rather than replacing, that’s what you’ll get back.

What happens to my information?

It goes to me and stays there. No mailing list unless you ask to join one, no sharing with third parties, no reselling. If you don’t go ahead with a project, I delete the brief after twelve months. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Why is there no phone number or booking calendar?

Because everything here runs in writing, and that’s a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. A written brief captures what a call would lose, costs you no scheduling, and means every scope decision is on record instead of half-remembered. You’ll get a reply within one business day, every time.
