What web design and build means at NS Web Studio
Web design and build is the core service inside every NS Web Studio package: custom design specific to your business, then hand-coded in WordPress with no page builder, built mobile-first, with technical SEO, WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility and Core Web Vitals optimisation included from the start rather than added afterwards. It isn’t sold as a standalone item — every package on the pricing page includes it as the foundation of what’s delivered, starting at €1,200 for a one-page Launch site.

Why this isn’t priced on its own. A website isn’t a single component you can quote in isolation — design, structure, SEO and accessibility are interdependent from the first decision. Pricing it as one line item separate from the rest would mean either overcharging for something incomplete, or quietly cutting corners on the parts that don’t show up in a screenshot. The packages exist so you see one honest number for the whole thing.

What people ask about how sites are built here
Why isn’t web design sold as a standalone, priced service?
Because it isn’t really separable from everything else that makes a site work. Design decisions affect accessibility, accessibility affects markup, markup affects SEO and speed. Pricing “just the design” in isolation would either mean quietly skipping the rest or misleading you about what you’re actually getting. The packages price the whole, honest thing.
Do you use a page builder like Elementor?
No. Every site is hand-coded HTML and CSS, which is a large part of why builds here reach a 100 PageSpeed score consistently. Page builders are faster to start with but add a permanent performance cost that’s very difficult to undo later without a rebuild.
What does “mobile-first” actually mean in practice?
It means the phone layout is designed and built first, as the real design, with the larger screen layouts built up from it. The opposite approach — designing for desktop and shrinking it down — is how you end up with tiny tap targets and text that needs pinching to read, on the device most of your visitors are actually using.
Can I get just the design without the SEO and accessibility work built in?
Not really, and I wouldn’t want to sell you that even if you asked. Technical SEO and accessibility aren’t add-ons bolted onto a finished design — they shape decisions from the first sketch, like heading structure and colour contrast. Removing them wouldn’t meaningfully lower the price; it would just quietly lower the quality.
What if I already have a logo or brand — does that change the price?
No, the package prices are the same either way. If you already have a logo and brand assets ready to use, that’s simply one less thing needed from you during the brief; it doesn’t reduce the build itself. If you need a logo too, that’s priced separately and can be added to the same project.
How is this different from a website builder like Wix or Squarespace?
Ownership, mainly. Hosted builders charge a monthly fee indefinitely and generate markup you can’t fully control, which is part of why they rarely reach top performance scores. WordPress is open source: once a site is handed over, it’s genuinely yours, with no ongoing platform rent and full control over every line of code.
