Service · Logo — Wordmark
A logo designed by someone trained to design logos
A clean, typographic wordmark — your business name, set properly — designed by our brand designer, who holds a fine arts degree and a master’s in graphic design. Not a web developer with a vector tool open.
What the wordmark logo service is
Logo — wordmark is a one-time, fixed-price service from NS Web Studio, costing €550. It’s a typographic logo built around your business name, with no symbol or icon, designed by our brand designer, who holds a fine arts degree and a master’s in graphic design. It includes three initial concepts, two revision rounds, every file format you’ll need, and full usage rights transferred to you in writing.
Fit check
This is worth it if…
This sounds like your situation
- Your current logo was made in Canva or Word, and it shows
- Your business name works well on its own — it’s short, clear, and doesn’t need a symbol to be memorable
- You want something you can put on a website, an invoice, a van and have it hold up everywhere
- You don’t need a whole brand system right now — just a proper mark
Choose something else if…
- You want a symbol or icon alongside the wordmark — that’s full brand identity
- You also need a colour palette and typography system defined, not just a mark
- You’re rebranding entirely, not just replacing an old logo — the full identity service includes strategy thinking this doesn’t
An honest note on symbols. A lot of new businesses want an icon before they need one. A well-set wordmark is often the stronger, more flexible choice early on — it works at every size without a symbol becoming an illegible smudge at 16 pixels. If your brief genuinely needs a symbol, I’ll say so and point you to the full identity service instead of selling you a mark that won’t hold up.
The full list
Everything in the €550
What you get
Design
- Three concepts, genuinely different typographic directions — not three tweaks of the same idea
- Designed by our brand designer, fine arts degree, master’s in graphic design
- Two revision rounds on the chosen direction
Files
- Vector files (SVG, EPS) that scale to any size without quality loss
- Raster files (PNG, transparent background) in the sizes you’ll actually use
- A favicon-ready version, simplified for small sizes
- Both colour and single-colour (black/white) versions
Rights
- Full usage rights transferred to you, in writing, on final payment
- No ongoing licence, no attribution requirement, no restriction on how you use it
Not included — so nobody is surprised
- A symbol or icon. This is the wordmark only — see full brand identity for a symbol as well
- A colour palette or typography system. Included in the full identity service, not this one
- Brand guidelines document. Also part of the full identity service
- Business cards, stationery, or social templates. Can be scoped separately once the mark is finished
- More than two revision rounds. Additional rounds are quoted before starting, not added afterwards
If it becomes clear partway through that you actually need the fuller system, the €550 counts toward the upgrade — you’re not starting over or paying twice.
What changes
Why this isn’t a web developer’s side project
Real options, not one guess
Three genuinely different concepts means you’re choosing a direction, not approving or rejecting a single attempt.
Trained for exactly this
Typography, spacing, how a mark holds up at 16 pixels versus on a shop sign — this is what a graphic design degree is actually for, not a skill picked up between client sites.
Yours, completely
No licence tied to us, no watermark, no restriction. The moment it’s paid for, it’s unambiguously yours.
How it runs
The five to seven days, step by step
-
Days 1–2
Brief
What the business does, who it’s for, what you like and don’t like, anything you’ve tried before. This shapes the three directions rather than three random guesses.
-
Days 3–4
Concepts
Three typographic directions, presented together so you can compare them properly rather than react to one at a time.
-
Day 5
Refinement
You pick a direction, and the two included revision rounds happen here — spacing, weight, small adjustments until it’s right.
-
Days 6–7
Files and handover
Every format, both colour and single-colour versions, and the rights transfer confirmed in writing.
Pairs well with
What people usually add alongside this
Adds a symbol, colour palette, typography system and a written guidelines document around the wordmark.
Worth it if: you realise mid-project that you need more than just a mark.
Launch package
€1,200A new logo is often the first sign a new website is coming too. Bundling both saves you a second onboarding.
Worth it if: the current site is as dated as the current logo.
Extra language
€600If your business name reads differently across markets, this is where that gets handled — separately from the mark itself.
Worth it if: you trade under slightly different names in different countries.
Questions
What people ask about the wordmark service
Why isn’t a symbol included?
Because a lot of businesses don’t actually need one, and a rushed symbol is often worse than no symbol at all. A well-set wordmark stands on its own for plenty of brands. If your business genuinely benefits from a symbol — a distinctive visual shorthand people can recognise even smaller than text allows — that’s exactly what the full brand identity service is for.
Who actually designs it?
Our brand designer, who holds a fine arts degree and a master’s in graphic design. I handle the website and the technical side; she handles the mark itself. It’s a deliberate split — web design and brand design are different disciplines that happen to share software, and a logo deserves someone trained specifically in typography and visual identity.
What if I want to see more than three concepts?
Three is deliberately not one, but it’s also not fifteen half-finished options that dilute the quality of each. In practice, most clients find their direction among the three because the brief did the work of narrowing things down beforehand. If none of the three genuinely work, we talk about why before generating more — that’s usually a sign the brief needs adjusting, not that more options are the fix.
What file formats do I get?
Vector files (SVG and EPS) that scale to any size without quality loss, PNG files with a transparent background in practical sizes, a simplified favicon version, and both full-colour and single-colour variants. Between those, you’ll have what’s needed for a website, print, social media and signage.
Do I own the logo completely?
Yes, on final payment, in writing. No ongoing licence, no attribution requirement, no restriction on how or where you use it. If you ever want to formally register it as a trademark, USPTO’s trademark basics page is a reasonable starting point for understanding what that process involves, though that’s a separate legal step from the design work itself.
Can I upgrade to a full brand identity later?
Yes, and the €550 counts toward it rather than being separate spend. If it becomes clear you need a symbol, a colour system or formal guidelines after all, we build on what already exists instead of starting again from nothing.
